Magdalena Plevová

Director of the Legal Department, FAU 

Magdalena Plevová graduated from Prague University of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. She began her professional career in the private sector in the media and advertising industry. After returning from studies abroad, she joined the Czech Consolidation Agency, where she worked on debt settlement and asset recovery. A key milestone in her career was her work at a nationwide unit of the Police of the Czech Republic focusing on financial crime, particularly tax-related offences. Since 2012, she has been working at the Financial Analytical Office (FAU), where she has held positions across several key departments. She started in the Legal Department, later worked in the Control Department, and subsequently spent six years in the Analytical Department. In 2019, she became Head of the International and Legal Department. Under her leadership, this department was fully engaged in implementing international sanctions in the Czech Republic between February and October 2022. Since June 2023, she has served as Director of the Legal Department.
