CBA Terms and Conditions

I. Registration

To register for training programs, seminars, and conferences organized by the Czech Banking Association, it is necessary to complete the registration form or send a request via email to aml.konference@cbaonline.cz

. Registrations are processed in the order received.

Participants whose registration is accepted will receive confirmation electronically via the provided email address.

If the event reaches full capacity, applicants who cannot be accommodated will be promptly informed and offered an alternative date or the option to cancel their registration. In the event of conference cancellation, registered participants will be informed without delay and, where possible, offered an alternative date.

Registration is binding.

II. Course Fee Payment

Based on the submitted registration, a proforma invoice will be issued and sent to the billing email address provided in the registration form. Please make the payment by bank transfer within the deadline specified in the proforma invoice, including the variable symbol and the participant's full name. Cash payments are not accepted. Upon receipt of payment, a tax invoice will be issued within the statutory period.

III. Venue

The conference will take place at the Grandium Hotel, Politických vězňů 913/12, 110 00 Nové Město, Prague.

IV. Cancellation Policy

Course fees are refundable only upon notification of cancellation sent to aml.konference@cbaonline.cz

under the following conditions:

a) No refund will be provided if the cancellation is made 14 days or less before the start of the conference.

b) 50% of the course fee will be refunded if cancellation is made more than 14 days but less than 1 month before the start of the conference.

c) 100% of the course fee will be refunded if cancellation is made 1 month or more before the start of the conference.

Full refunds will be issued if the program (seminar) is cancelled by the organizer.

If the selected program or seminar is already fully booked, the nearest available alternative date will be offered.

If you are unable to attend and have already paid the course fee, you may nominate a substitute participant. Please inform us of this change in advance.

V. Personal Data Protection

The Czech Banking Association (hereinafter "CBA") declares that your personal data will not be shared with third parties, except as stated herein (e.g., your employer or business partner who registered you for the event, or a designated person responsible for records), and will not be transferred to third countries or international organizations. Exceptions apply where CBA is legally required to disclose personal data, for example to law enforcement authorities or other public bodies.

Your personal data may be used by CBA for the following purposes:

a) to provide access to all services offered by CBA,

b) to improve the quality of services provided by CBA,

c) to maintain records of training results,

d) to maintain records of issued certificates of completion,

e) for marketing purposes: by signing the registration form, you consent (in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of GDPR) to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal data for the purpose of receiving invitations to future events, lectures, and seminars organized by CBA, as well as newsletters (CBA News). Personal data collected for these purposes will be processed until consent is withdrawn. Information about your right to withdraw consent is provided above.

CBA declares that personal data will be processed only for the necessary period, i.e. for at least 5 years.

All personal data will be securely stored in electronic form in a protected database. CBA uses modern technologies to ensure the highest possible level of data protection and has implemented all currently known measures to prevent unauthorized access. Your personal data is fully protected against misuse.

f) An exception to the above may be the transfer of personal data to a conference partner, solely based on the explicit consent of the participant.

If consent is granted via a separate checkbox in the registration form, CBA may transfer personal data (name, email address, and organization name) to a conference partner for the purpose of contacting you with offers and information. Providing consent is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time via email to aml.konference@cbaonline.cz

. After the transfer, the partner becomes an independent data controller.

CBA informs you of the following rights under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR):

i) right of access to personal data,

ii) right to rectification,

iii) right to erasure,

iv) right to restriction of processing,

v) right to data portability,

vi) right to object,

vii) right not to be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling,

viii) right to withdraw consent at any time,

ix) right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Office for Personal Data Protection, Prague),

x) further information is available on the website of the supervisory authority.

VI. Cookies

CBA also collects information about the services you use and visit, your preferences, software environment, and IP address. This is done using cookies. If you do not wish CBA to collect such data, you can disable cookies in your browser settings. However, some website services may not function properly as a result.

VII. Consent to Use of Photographs and Videos

I consent to the Czech Banking Association taking and/or using photographs and videos from CBA conferences for promotional purposes related to these educational events, including use on conference websites, CBA websites, social media, and printed materials presenting CBA activities.

I also consent to CBA and any third parties authorized by CBA to process these materials by collecting and storing them. I acknowledge that I may withdraw this consent at any time by emailing aml.konference@cbaonline.cz.

Withdrawal of consent applies only to future processing and does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing based on this consent.
